IKEA in Galway is excited to open its new Planning & Order Point store and is searching for a Sales Specialist passionate about sales and home design. This role focuses on assisting customers in creating their ideal kitchens and wardrobes, utilizing innovative planning tools to bring creative concepts to life. What We Offer

• Employment commencement is scheduled for late October or early November 2026.
• Annual starting salary of €33,800, commensurate with skills and experience.
• Work schedule is 39 hours per week over 5 days, including daytime shifts, evenings, and alternating weekends.

Role Responsibilities

• Engage proactively with customers to identify their needs and recommend home furnishing solutions that enhance their daily home life.
• Maintain pride and ownership of your sales area, ensuring it is tidy, attractively presented, and easy for customers to shop.
• Perform kitchen planning and design consultations lasting up to 2 hours, plus an additional 30 to 60 minutes to prepare detailed plans, worktop options, and installation cost quotations.
• Assist with managing customer communications via email and handle payment transactions both onsite and remotely.

Required Experience and Skills

• Comfortable leading sales conversations confidently.
• Previous experience working in a customer-centric and commercially-focused environment, particularly with an interest in kitchens and home living.
• Ability to take initiative, adapt well to changes, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with clients.
• Proficiency using computer software applications.

Recruitment Process
