Job description
About the Role
The Sales Officer role focuses on establishing connections with pre-schools for Nalanda Learning System's ECCE program, aligned with India's National Education Policy 2020. The specialist will proactively engage school owners and teachers, facilitating teacher onboarding into structured training programs aimed at career advancement in early childhood education.
Primary Responsibilities
- Visit between 5 and 7 pre-schools each day within a designated geographic cluster to build relationships with school principals and owners.
- Introduce and explain the benefits of Nalanda’s teacher training programs to stakeholders.
- Lead orientation sessions for small groups of teachers, highlighting certificate opportunities, career development, and improved teaching methodologies.
- Address teachers' questions and concerns to support their enrollment decisions.
- Assist teachers through the registration process, including document collection and batch assignment.
- Follow up regularly to ensure that training commencement proceeds smoothly.
- Provide daily reports via WhatsApp covering school visits, meetings, and onboarding conversion statuses, complemented by field evidence such as photos and voice notes.
Performance Metrics
- Connect with 25 to 30 schools weekly.
- Conduct 5 to 8 teacher orientations each week.
- Successfully onboard 5 to 10 teachers per week.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of graduation in any discipline.
- Residence within the assigned local area.
- Proficiency in Hindi as well as a local dialect such as Bhojpuri, Maithili, or Magahi.
- Prior experience in fieldwork, teaching, or non-governmental organizations is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation and Work Conditions
- Monthly fixed salary ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 with additional milestone-based bonuses.
- The role requires a field-based presence, working six days per week.
- Daily intra-cluster travel is expected.
- Regular weekly reviews will be held with the Cluster Lead to discuss progress and challenges.
Career Trajectory
Successful candidates have a clear advancement path beginning as a Sales Officer, progressing to Senior Sales Officer, followed by Cluster Lead, and culminating in District Manager roles within the organization.
