Job Overview
The Sales Executive role demands a dynamic professional adept at generating and securing new business prospects. Employing a consultative selling method, the individual will leverage their expertise to identify qualified leads and cultivate both new and existing customer opportunities. The ultimate goal is to achieve the yearly targeted sales figures by accurately understanding customer needs and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with customers to negotiate sales contracts in accordance with company policies.
- Track sales objectives and nurture customer relationships to sustain ongoing and profitable collaborations.
- Coordinate with clients daily, weekly, and monthly to monitor sales volumes and performance.
- Ensure proper allocation and distribution across different market segments, areas, and customer sizes to maximize profitability.
- Monitor clients' credit facilities daily to prevent supply disruptions.
- Work alongside the finance team to evaluate customers' financial status to facilitate smooth business transactions.
- Communicate customer requirements, delivery locations, and offloading schedules clearly to sales administration and dispatch teams.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Collect market intelligence related to customer and competitor activities.
- Analyze the market by understanding trends, including projects, pricing, customer behavior, and market shifts.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to support flexible and successful implementation of company pricing strategies.
- Develop and sustain contacts with potential customers, closely tracking their interactions with competitors to identify new business opportunities.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or Science is required.
- Between 5 to 7 years of proven experience in commercial sales within the relevant industry.
