Job description
Role Overview
The position of Solar Sales Executive focuses on transforming solar energy inquiries into confirmed prospects and clients. This role demands active engagement through phone calls, client consultations, systematic follow-ups, arranging site inspections, clarifying proposals, negotiating terms, and finalizing sales agreements. Complete responsibility for assigned leads from initiation to closure is expected.
Key Duties
- Quickly contact all new potential customers.
- Analyze customers' energy usage, billing details, property characteristics, and solar energy needs.
- Keep precise records of leads in CRM or designated tracking tools.
- Classify leads into categories such as Hot, Warm, Cold, or Not Interested to prioritize efforts.
- Ensure each lead has a scheduled next step and receives due attention.
- Spend about 2.5 to 3 hours daily engaged in meaningful phone or digital conversations with prospects.
- Clearly describe the solar energy solutions offered by the company and manage initial objections effectively.
- Conduct thorough qualification of leads including assessing monthly energy bills, customer type, property details, available installation space, ownership permissions, current power setup, solar preferences, budget considerations, and purchase schedule.
- Organize site visits for suitably qualified leads by coordinating with technical teams and confirming customer availability.
- Demonstrate and explain solar proposals covering system specifications, energy production, cost savings, subsidies, financing options, and payback timelines.
- Engage in negotiations within company-approved limits and follow up continuously until sales are finalized and payments collected.
- Maintain a well-documented progression path for each qualified lead, fostering steady advancement from initial contact to closure.
- Provide comprehensive daily reports including total and connected calls, talk time, lead qualification status, follow-up actions, site visits arranged and completed, proposals sent, negotiations handled, sales closures, and analysis of lost leads with reasons.
Additional Information
This role requires end-to-end ownership of leads rather than only performing outbound calls. The candidate must actively coordinate between customers and internal teams to ensure smooth progress and closure of deals.
