Role Overview
The Sales Engineer position is pivotal for providing technical guidance throughout the Oceania region—covering Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands—and driving continued growth by supporting sales initiatives and customer engagements from their Castle Hill, NSW location.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority in the Oceania market, leading engineering projects aligned with sales objectives.
- Assist the sales team through technical tasks including product demonstrations, customer trials, and proof of concepts.
- Lead technical dialogues with major clients and coordinate with headquarters to develop tailored solutions.
- Organize training and support activities for partner sales efforts.
- Manage exhibitions and regional roadshows, overseeing setup and live demos.
- Gather market insights to influence product priorities and roadmap planning.
- Collaborate with the global customer success team to provide localized technical support.
- Perform operational technical duties such as prepping and testing equipment prior to shipment, and managing rental inventory logistics.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience in technical roles.
- At least 2 years in a client-facing engineering or similar position.
- Proven experience customizing and managing solution deployments for customers.
- Background in broadcast production, online video streaming, and telecommunications technologies.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems and cloud-based solutions.
- Capability to multitask effectively under pressure and manage various projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Effective presentation abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed.
