Role Overview
We are seeking a Sales Engineer with strong technical expertise and a customer-oriented approach, specializing in Exposure Management and cybersecurity solutions. This pre-sales position involves collaborating with sales teams to demonstrate the platform’s value to prospects, designing tailored solutions, and ensuring effective engagement throughout the sales process. This role suits professionals passionate about improving organizational risk posture through sophisticated cybersecurity technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal technical expert during sales engagements, including delivering product demos, leading proof-of-concept deployments, and conducting technical assessments.
- Gather and analyze customer requirements to customize cybersecurity solutions aligned with business objectives and security needs.
- Engage in technical dialogues with various stakeholders such as security architects, CISOs, and IT operations teams.
- Develop and present personalized solutions involving Exposure Management, Attack Surface Management, Threat Intelligence, and related cyber technologies.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams by providing customer-driven feedback to influence product roadmaps.
- Assist in preparing responses to RFPs and RFIs, and contribute to technical documentation and architectural designs.
- Maintain awareness of industry advances, emerging cyber threats, and new technologies to provide expert advice to clients and prospects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' practical experience implementing or deploying Exposure Management, Vulnerability Management, or comparable cybersecurity solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management methodologies, and threat mitigation tactics.
- Experience in technical pre-sales or solution engineering roles supporting enterprise sales teams.
- Proficiency with technologies including External Exposure and Threat Management, Attack Surface Management, Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity, and general cybersecurity domains.
- Outstanding communication skills capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity platforms such as ZeroFox, BishopFox, BitSight, Security Scorecard, Censys, IBM Randori, Resecurity, Crowdstrike, and Recorded Futures.
- Bonus if skilled in scripting or automation tools like Python or PowerShell.
- Experience assisting sales in government or regulated sectors.
- Knowledge of enterprise sales methodologies (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger) is desirable.
- Relevant certifications like CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
- Capability to thrive in dynamic, rapidly growing company environments.
