Job description

About Jetpack Labs

Jetpack Labs specializes in data modernization and AI-driven software solutions tailored for manufacturers including machine shops, fabricators, contract manufacturers, and industrial service providers who rely on legacy ERP systems. Instead of disruptive overhauls, Jetpack Labs offers incremental connectivity through tools like InsightPane for operational insights, a Quoting Engine, ConnectedCRM, and a 60 Day Operating System designed to deliver measurable outcomes ahead of capital budget decisions. The company operates as a partner rather than a vendor, focusing on diagnostic conversations that engage senior decision-makers from the start.

Role Overview

This role focuses on managing the upper funnel by handling signal-based outbound sales. Leveraging systems that identify manufacturers with genuine buying signals such as ERP transitions, capital investments, and hiring trends, the representative initiates meaningful conversations with operational leaders within the first 15 seconds, targeting prospects who may be wary of software providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a signal queue sourced from detection engine scores, conduct deep research, and form informed outreach strategies leveraging company data, industry news, and job market activity.
  • Execute multi-channel outbound outreach including cold calls, targeted email sequences, and LinkedIn, with a strong emphasis on phone-based engagement.
  • Qualify leads strictly, prioritizing quality meetings that contribute to pipeline over sheer volume of meetings.
  • Provide comprehensive, written briefs after booking meetings detailing prospect insights, challenges, key stakeholders, and timing.
  • Maintain Close CRM data integrity with accurate status updates, activity logs, and actionable follow-ups.
  • Offer feedback on signal effectiveness, messaging, and target segments to refine outreach strategies continuously.
  • Manage long-term prospect nurturing, maintaining relationships for accounts without immediate budgets up to six months or more.

Initial 90-Day Plan

  • First 30 days: Learn the market by shadowing calls, understanding product frameworks, and gaining familiarity with manufacturing quoting, scheduling, and billing processes. Begin dialing in week two with incrementally increasing targets.
  • Days 31–60: Take ownership of a territory of scored accounts, engage in consistent calling blocks and begin booking and holding initial meetings including detailed handoff reports.
  • Days 61–90: Reach full quota cadence and propose data-driven enhancements to targeting or messaging strategies based on outbound insights.

Qualifications

  • Experience of 3 to 5 years in outbound sales or demonstrated ability to persistently handle rejection and maintain outreach.
  • Ease in engaging with senior business owners, particularly those older and experienced in running businesses, emphasizing authentic conversations rather than scripted pitches.
  • A genuine interest in understanding how manufacturing and physical business operations function including supply chains and financial margins.
  • Excellent written communication skills, crucial for emails and detailed meeting handoffs.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with minimal supervision in a small team environment.
  • Comfortable with CRM platforms and sales tools along with an openness to learn AI-enhanced research methodologies.

Preferred But Not Required

  • Background selling to manufacturing, industrial, construction, or field services sectors.
  • Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems like Sage, Epicor, JobBOSS, or Global Shop.
  • Experience with Close CRM or similar CRM platforms geared towards calling-centric sales workflows.
  • Hands-on experience within trade, plant, or shop settings is considered a significant advantage.
