Legartis is an innovative LegalTech firm transforming the way companies handle contracts and other legal processes using AI technology. Their Legal AI Suite changes legal workflows from manual bottlenecks to streamlined, transparent, and dependable procedures, enabling legal, procurement, and business teams to accelerate deals, reduce risks, and maintain control. Operating from Zürich and Leipzig, with a forthcoming Berlin office, Legartis offers an environment where each employee can noticeably impact growth in a leading European legal AI company.
Role Overview
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Legartis, you will be instrumental in building the sales pipeline that drives enterprise growth in the DACH region. The role requires dedication to mastering the craft of obtaining appointments with decision-makers through calling, precise research, and persistence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a qualified sales pipeline by setting appointments and creating sales-qualified opportunities for the Account Executive team.
- Conduct thorough research on accounts and stakeholders—including their industry, triggers, contract procedures, and compliance pressures—to tailor outreach pertinent to enterprise buyers such as GCs, Legal Ops, Procurement, Sales, and Compliance teams.
- Apply consistent qualification criteria including ICP fit, pain points, urgency, stakeholder involvement, and subsequent steps for a smooth handover to AEs.
- Collaborate with Account Executives on target account lists, account plans, multi-threading efforts, and sequences to open strategic accounts.
- Partner with Marketing in campaign design, evaluating calling and messaging strategies by assessing what converts from MQLs to sales-qualified leads.
- Maintain impeccable CRM hygiene in HubSpot, ensuring precise notes, stage updates, next steps, and activity tracking.
- Continuously improve weekly by testing subject lines, talk tracks, value propositions, and personalization techniques, doubling down on what works.
- Occasional travel across the DACH region to attend team sessions, events, or significant client meetings.
Candidate Profile
- Fluent negotiation skills in German and English, both verbal and written.
- One to three or more years of experience in an SDR/BDR role.
- Confident in communicating with senior stakeholders and adept at quickly establishing credibility.
- Clear and relevant communicator who avoids unnecessary verbosity.
- Resilient and persistent with genuine curiosity to understand prospects and perseveres despite rejections.
- Highly organized with strong planning, execution, measurement, and improvement abilities.
- Experience with HubSpot is a plus.
Why Join Legartis?
- Make a tangible impact by generating real pipeline and revenue, influencing the company's ongoing development.
- Receive dedicated coaching and direct feedback from a team invested in your growth.
- Work with a product that opens doors by delivering clear ROI through time savings, reduced risk, improved governance, and relevance across departments.
- Benefit from an uncapped variable component plus employee stock options (ESOP), allowing you to share in the company's success.
- Be part of a unified team with a shared vision, collaborating from offices in Zürich, Leipzig, soon Berlin, or remotely across the DACH region, all celebrating successes together.
Initial 90 Days Plan
- Days 1-30: Comprehensive learning of the product, ideal customer profiles, personas, use cases, objections, messaging, sequences, and handover processes; start calling MQLs converting them to SQLs in the first two weeks.
- Days 31-60: Establish consistent appointment volumes and pipeline contributions; increase conversion rates through testing and personalization; begin multi-threading in larger accounts and develop repeatable patterns.
- Days 61-90: Regularly achieve targets for appointments and SQLs/opportunities; take ownership of a personal account set and provide insights back to Marketing and AEs to scale successful approaches.
Hiring Process
- 30-minute interview with People Manager to discuss expectations and role fit.
- 30-minute interview with Head of Sales for a deep dive into the position.
- 90-minute case study interview with pre-assigned preparation, completed jointly during the session.
- Meet and greet with the wider team for cultural fit.
- If mutually agreeable, an offer is extended and onboarding begins.
