About LegalScout
LegalScout is an AI-powered platform tailored for the ANZ legal sector, specifically catering to SME law firms seeking to boost revenue through technology-driven solutions. Operating within Australia's dynamic legal market, the platform integrates multiple AI tools into one secure environment, safeguarding client data from public LLM exposure while offering functionalities such as contract review, legal research, brief and court filing drafting, petitions, motions, and document comparison—all accessible via a single monthly subscription. The focus remains on delivering practical, user-centric features that enhance productivity and result quality for legal professionals and their clients.
Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role requires full-time onsite commitment in the Greater Sydney Area, tasked with identifying and qualifying new business prospects among SME law firms. The position includes outbound engagement through calls, emails, and social media, arranging product demos, and maintaining a consistent flow of qualified sales leads. Key duties involve interacting with legal professionals to comprehend their processes, showcasing LegalScout’s AI benefits, and articulating the platform’s advantages in efficiency, security, and financial growth. The SDR is also responsible for CRM management, responding to inbound queries, liaising with marketing for campaign coordination, and feeding insights about market conditions and customer requirements back to relevant teams. Collaboration with sales and marketing colleagues to refine communication strategies and improve conversion metrics is essential to meeting customer acquisition objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in outbound sales prospecting, lead qualification, and funnel management, preferably within B2B SaaS or professional services sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities, with confidence in engaging legal and business stakeholders.
- Competency in using CRM systems and sales enablement tools to monitor activities, evaluate data, and aid strategic decisions.
- Interest in or knowledge of the legal industry combined with an aptitude for understanding and communicating AI technologies.
- Highly motivated, well-organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting and meets clear performance targets.
- Ability to work on-site in Greater Sydney and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Additional advantages include previous SDR or inside sales experience, familiarity with the ANZ legal market, and tertiary qualifications in business, law, or related disciplines.
