Job description
About HardHats
HardHats delivers software solutions that help construction companies manage subcontractor compliance effectively. Our platform oversees onboarding, verification, employment status classification, CIS deductions and statements, all supported by a thorough audit trail. We uniquely offer an employment status guarantee, assuring compliance even during HMRC inquiries. Unlike typical payroll or umbrella companies offering vague protection, we provide a straightforward compliance system specifically for subbies in construction.
Role Overview
As the initial point of contact, you will reach out to construction business owners who currently manage subcontractor paperwork manually or inefficiently. Your task is to break through the clutter, educate on our solution's importance, and secure qualified appointments with our sales team at our Port Solent office.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate proactive outbound calls to targeted construction companies.
- Follow up communications through email and LinkedIn effectively.
- Schedule meetings with genuine decision-makers who are qualified prospects.
- Communicate our product's value clearly in under thirty seconds, avoiding jargon and demos.
- Conduct pre-call research to ensure natural, conversation-like engagements.
- Complete daily CRM tasks meticulously and maintain accurate records.
- Achieve designated weekly and monthly key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales via call reviews and ongoing coaching sessions.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in outbound sales is essential.
- A competitive nature supported by measurable success.
- Strong resilience to handle challenges.
- Receptiveness to coaching and ability to self-evaluate calls constructively.
- Clear and honest communication style suitable for a builder-heavy clientele.
- Comfortable selling software solutions without requiring deep technical expertise initially.
- Technologically adept and highly organized.
- Demonstrable competitive drive, even in areas outside of work.
Benefits
- On-target earnings (OTE) between £40,000 and £50,000.
- Thirty-two days of leave including bank holidays plus the three days between Christmas and New Year.
- An additional day off for your birthday.
- WPA health insurance coverage.
- Retirement pension scheme.
- Free parking at the workplace.
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, based onsite in Port Solent.
