Sales Development Representative - Japan (Remote)

Overview

This role serves as the initial contact within the Shopify Plus Sales team, targeting rapidly expanding ecommerce businesses in Japan. By effectively communicating the value of Shopify Plus, the aim is to enhance merchants' shopping experiences and move them from curiosity to adoption.

Key Duties

• Identify promising cross-border merchants within the Japanese market.
• Develop and implement multi-channel outreach strategies to generate interest among potential merchants, many unfamiliar with Shopify Plus.
• Qualify leads to assess their fit for Shopify Plus and maintain a strong pipeline of high-quality opportunities.
• Gain insights into how Japanese merchants approach multi-channel selling and identify leading players to tailor engagement.
• Create a positive initial interaction to provide an exceptional merchant discovery experience.
• Maintain consistent engagement with new and existing leads using CRM tools.
• Collaborate with sales executives for account planning on target clients.
• Contribute to nurturing company culture and champion Shopify values within the APAC region.
• Coordinate with global peers across various markets to refine processes and evolve role expectations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams in marketing, partnerships, and direct sales to drive meaningful engagement and nurturing of prospects.

Requirements

• Deep understanding and experience with the Japanese market.
