Role Overview
We seek a motivated, inquisitive, and resilient Sales Development Representative (SDR) based primarily in Melbourne to drive our commercial expansion across Australia and the broader APAC region. The SDR will spearhead outreach efforts by targeting promising accounts, initiating conversations with senior professionals in cyber, fraud, risk, and technology domains, and qualifying leads to feed the sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously identify and research new prospects and target accounts within Netcraft’s ideal customer profile across key industries to build a robust prospecting funnel.
- Engage in consistent outbound outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and event-based prospecting to arrange high-quality meetings.
- Plan and implement focused prospecting campaigns aligned with industry events and sales team schedules to optimize in-person meeting opportunities.
- Qualify incoming leads from digital campaigns using established frameworks.
- Maintain precise records of outreach and lead qualification in sales systems.
- Support Account Executives by scheduling discovery meetings and providing valuable account and stakeholder insights.
- Collaborate with Marketing to relay feedback on campaign effectiveness and market trends.
- Keep abreast of cybersecurity developments and refine understanding of Netcraft’s product offerings and value proposition.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a sales development role, preferably within B2B SaaS or cybersecurity sectors.
- Disciplined and consistent approach to daily prospecting and pipeline management.
- Proven ability to engage multiple stakeholders within large enterprise organizations effectively.
- Experience prospecting within APAC markets is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to confidently interact with senior personnel.
- Research-oriented with skills to personalize sales outreach effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement tools.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities and time efficiently.
- Resilient, receptive to coaching, goal-oriented with demonstrated success in achievement.
- Ability to quickly grasp new services and articulate their benefits clearly to potential clients.
- Knowledge of sales qualification methodologies to assess leads effectively.
- A degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is considered beneficial.
