Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a vital role in building Horizon's new London sales office and revenue function. This full-time position requires three days per week onsite near Liverpool Street, London. The SDR will be tasked with pioneering outreach efforts, generating leads, and establishing the foundation for future sales success, with a clear progression pathway to an Account Executive role.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business through outbound prospecting, lead research, and lead generation efforts.
- Handle inbound inquiries effectively, converting them into meaningful sales conversations.
- Schedule qualified meetings for the broader sales team to advance opportunities.
- Assess the needs of prospects and articulate how Horizon's platform delivers value.
- Engage confidently using phone, email, and video communication channels.
- Create, own, and manage a consistent prospecting routine and pipeline targets.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles or sales-related positions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management.
- Comfortable using standard productivity software such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to cultivate professional relationships thoughtfully.
- Resilient and persistent under challenging or changing circumstances.
- Self-motivated with initiative to develop consistent sales prospecting habits.
- Good listening skills and confidence in interacting with contacts across various organizational levels.

Compensation and Benefits
- Senior level package: Up to £45,000 base salary plus £12,000 on-target earnings (OTE), with no cap.
- Junior level package: Up to £35,000 base salary plus £12,000 OTE, uncapped.
- Additional benefits include private healthcare, pension scheme, and death-in-service coverage.
- Work pattern is primarily office-based three days per week at the new London Liverpool Street office.
