Job description
Overview
Join Alation, a rapidly growing pre-IPO Data Intelligence company with global offices, as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) based in Sydney. This role is more than just meeting quotas; you'll drive growth by owning strategies for prospecting and influencing from day one. The work environment follows a hybrid model, requiring presence in Sydney's office on Tuesdays and Thursdays to foster collaboration and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely within a high-impact Pod structure, acting as a strategic partner to two Account Executives, Marketing, and Partnerships to execute plans across designated territories.
- Manage and execute outreach initiatives using cutting-edge sales tools such as Outreach, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Orum, and Qualified, crafting compelling messages that convert prospects.
- Engage with a range of stakeholders, including individual contributors and C-suite executives, tailoring communications effectively to both technical and business audiences.
- Maintain high performance to unlock multiple career advancement opportunities like Account Executive, Account Manager, or Solutions Engineer roles.
- Represent Alation at in-person events and industry conferences to promote the brand and engage potential clients.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated 5 to 8+ years of experience as an SDR, BDR, or in a comparable sales development role with solid track records.
- Strong ambition to build a tech sales career, potentially progressing into leadership positions.
- Proficiency with sales technology platforms including Salesforce, Outreach, and Sales Navigator.
- Confidence in interacting with senior decision-makers accompanied by a strong desire to rapidly acquire new knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, persistence, and an ownership mindset.
- Preferred: background in data or analytics, or a relevant academic degree.
