Job description
About the Role
Kery Solutions is expanding its sales team by hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will spearhead the outbound sales strategy. This is a hands-on, in-person position based in Toronto, Ontario with no remote or relocation options. Candidates must already have legal authorization to work in Canada. The firm specializes in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI consulting services tailored for food manufacturing and distribution companies, helping them transition from spreadsheets to advanced data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage an outbound sales approach using prioritized accounts and intent data rather than mass emails.
- Engage prospects using a coordinated sequence of phone calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and innovative direct mail.
- Maintain up-to-date records and performance metrics in HubSpot CRM and analyze results through Power BI dashboards.
- Qualify leads efficiently, focusing on booking introductory meetings with executive-level contacts.
- Contribute to shaping and improving the sales playbook rather than strictly following a preset script.
What Success Looks Like
- First 30 days: Understand business operations and test a small outreach batch.
- Days 31-60: Increase outreach activities and optimize messaging using real response data.
- From day 61 onward: Make 70-80+ calls daily, generate over 20 self-sourced leads weekly, establish 25+ new LinkedIn connections weekly, and secure 3 or more qualified intro calls per week.
Candidate Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in Canada; no visa sponsorship available.
- Availability to work full-time in the office for at least the initial 90 days.
- 1-3 years of B2B sales development experience, emphasizing multi-channel outreach with a phone-first methodology.
- Experience in related fields like data analytics or B2B technology is advantageous; food and beverage/manufacturing experience is not mandatory.
- Proven ability to self-source leads instead of solely relying on pre-existing lists.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, ideally HubSpot.
- Strong resilience and ambition driven by performance-based incentives rather than just a steady income.
Compensation and Advancement
- Base salary: CAD 60,000 annually.
- Performance bonus: CAD 30,000 target annually, awarded quarterly based on qualified introductory calls booked.
- Additional year-end bonus linked to conversion results.
- Total on-target earnings around CAD 90,000 per year.
- Clear career trajectory towards a managerial role as the outbound sales team scales.
Additional Information
The position requires presence at the Toronto office and is specifically not remote. The target start date is November 1. Applicants interested in establishing and growing a new outbound sales function from scratch are especially encouraged to apply.
