Job description
Company Overview
Docusign helps agreements come alive by enabling organizations to create, manage, and act on them more efficiently. More than 1.5 million customers and over a billion people across 180+ countries rely on its solutions to speed up business and make everyday work simpler. Through its Intelligent Agreement Management platform, Docusign turns document data into usable business insight and connects it with core business systems, helping companies reduce delays, save money, and unlock new opportunities. The company is recognized as a leader in e-signature and contract lifecycle management.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, adaptable, collaborative, and eager to begin or expand a career in sales within the technology sector. As a Sales Development Representative, you will help create new business relationships by engaging with prospects who have shown interest in Docusign as well as those you identify as strong potential customers.
This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Manager, SDR.
Job Designation
This is a hybrid position, meaning you will split your time between the office and remote work. Regular access to an office is required, with an expected in-office presence of at least 2 days each week. The exact schedule may vary by team, but weekly office attendance is required.
Docusign assigns roles as In Office, Hybrid, or Remote depending on the position. Preferred work designations are not guaranteed when moving internally, and job designation may change based on business needs and local legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to meet your Sales Qualified Opportunity (SQO) target and spend around 80% of your time calling prospective businesses that have been identified through inbound leads as having strong potential fit.
Part of the role involves explaining Docusign’s offerings to prospects, learning about their business challenges, and using thoughtful questions and relationship-building skills to understand their strategy and where Docusign can help drive success.
You will also qualify leads in the CRM, share useful lead information with Account Executives, and help arrange initial meetings.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate communicates clearly in English and is comfortable interacting with new people and organizations. You should enjoy building connections, take initiative, and be enthusiastic about introducing businesses to a product you believe in.
This role suits someone who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, works well in a driven team, and is comfortable owning their results.
Experience in outbound sales or business development is preferred, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, good organization, and a bachelor’s degree.
Life at Docusign
Docusign emphasizes trust, honesty, fairness, and equal opportunity for all employees. The company aims to create an environment where everyone can contribute, share ideas openly, build meaningful relationships, and do work they are proud of.
Accommodation and Support
Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities during the hiring process, and religious accommodations can also be requested. If any issues or technical difficulties arise during the application process, support is available from the Talent organization.
