Sales / Cashier Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Sales / Cashier Executive to join a premium cafe in Doha, Qatar. This role is centered on providing excellent customer service, facilitating sales, handling cash transactions, and supporting overall store functions in a dynamic food and beverage retail setting. The ideal candidate will manage the customer journey from selecting products to payment and product handover, while adapting to various shift timings, including evening hours until 10:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, ascertain their needs, and deliver courteous, professional assistance.
• Help customers choose products by providing detailed information about items, prices, deals, and availability.
• Perform sales transactions accurately through the POS system, processing payments via cash, card, or approved alternatives.
• Ensure precise cash management with correct opening, closing, and reconciliation of register funds.
• Issue receipts, handle authorized returns or exchanges, and address routine customer questions with professionalism.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of product offerings to suggest appropriate items confidently.
• Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
• Keep product displays neat and maintain cleanliness and order in shelves, counters, and customer-facing areas.
• Track inventory levels attentively and notify the appropriate personnel for stock replenishment.
• Assist with receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming stock as necessary.
• Support basic stock counting activities and report any discrepancies, damages, or expired goods.
• Adhere strictly to store guidelines regarding hygiene, food safety, cash handling, and customer service standards.
• Coordinate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working shifts, including evening hours up to 10:00 PM, weekends, and busy seasonal periods.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficiency in both Arabic and English is highly desirable.
• Preferably 5 or more years of experience in sales, cashiering, retail, customer service, or similar customer-facing roles.
• Experience within F&B, confectionery, hospitality, or retail sectors is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Competence in handling cash, card payments, and POS operations accurately.
• Basic mathematical skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear communication abilities with customers and team members.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a neat appearance, coupled with comfort in a hands-on retail environment.
• Capability to stay composed and efficient during peak business hours.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings until 10:00 PM, weekends, and public holidays when necessary.

Additional Information

This position requires immediate availability and entails working full-time onsite in Doha, Qatar.
