Role Overview
The Sales Associate position is a full-time, on-site job located in Cuttack. The individual in this role will greet and interact with customers, understand their requirements, and suggest appropriate products or services. Responsibilities encompass managing customer inquiries, outlining product features and prices, processing sales or orders, and keeping precise documentation following company policies. Support duties include merchandising, arranging product displays, tracking stock availability, and coordinating with colleagues to ensure seamless sales operations. Achieving sales objectives, engaging in customer follow-ups, and offering consistent, respectful service to encourage repeat business are also key elements of the role.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in customer service and relationship building, engaging respectfully and professionally with varied customer groups.
- Effective communication skills, including clear speaking, active listening, and the capacity to explain products and promotions clearly.
- Foundational sales and negotiation skills, comfortable with customer approach, managing objections, and pursuing sales targets.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities to juggle multiple customer interactions, maintain accurate records, and handle daily responsibilities efficiently.
- Basic proficiency with computers and familiarity with point-of-sale or inventory systems, coupled with a willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
- Capacity to work on-site in Cuttack, collaborate with team members, and adjust to evolving customer and business demands.
- Previous exposure to retail or sales is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive mindset and eagerness to learn are highly desirable.
- Minimum education at secondary or higher secondary level; additional sales or business training is a plus.
