Sales Assistant

Overview

We're seeking a Sales Assistant to join our Taubmans Trade Centre team in Maroochydore, Queensland. In this role, you will be the approachable representative greeting tradies, painters, and DIY customers, guiding them to the right products with confidence.

You do not need prior paint industry experience—training on products and systems will be provided. If you have experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or any hands-on role and have a passion for assisting others, you'll fit right in.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Full-time permanent employment with 38 hours weekly
• Location: Maroochydore Trade Centre
• Monday to Friday shifts scheduled between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm
• Occasionally work Saturdays 7:00 am to 11:30 am
• Comprehensive training in product knowledge and systems is included

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, knowledgeable service to all customers
• Build lasting relationships with both trade and retail clientele
• Tint and mix paint products matching customer specifications
• Assist with color matching and offering product suggestions
• Organize and prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery
• Maintain store shelves, displays, and overall organization efficiently
• Collaborate closely with the Store Manager and team to support sales growth objectives
• Ensure a safe, tidy, and well-arranged work environment
• Perform local deliveries as needed, utilizing the company vehicle

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Enjoys helping customers and building meaningful relationships
• Keen eagerness to learn and develop product expertise
• Works effectively within a supportive, close-knit team
• Willingness to perform physical tasks such as lifting paint tins, operating pallet jacks, and managing stock movement
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced retail setting
• Valid driver's license mandatory; forklift license is a plus
