Role Overview
The Sales Administrator role is pivotal in supporting the sales function by administering customer accounts, managing orders, pricing, promotions, and preparing sales reporting. This position serves as a primary liaison between customers and internal teams such as Sales, Territory Managers, and Finance to ensure seamless sales operations and achievement of commercial objectives across New Zealand and export markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently process and manage all customer, export, and Vendor Managed Inventory replenishment orders.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for customer account inquiries and provide prompt assistance.
- Accurately process rebates, scan rebates, credits, and complete reconciliations within required timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date customer master data, pricing lists, official records, and related templates.
- Oversee promotional calendars, schedules, and communicate pricing updates effectively.
- Address and resolve delivery problems including missed deliveries, damaged stock, and shortages.
- Compile and distribute detailed sales reports and commercial data to stakeholders.
- Offer continuous support to Territory Managers and the wider Sales team.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to support reporting and administrative functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Background in sales administration, customer service, or administration within the FMCG sector.
- Proven experience thriving in a busy commercial environment.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and various business software systems.
- Familiarity with managing customer orders and sales administration is advantageous.
