About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Trainer to lead safety education initiatives within the Oil & Gas sector in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering comprehensive safety programs, conducting assessments, and supporting certification activities to ensure workforce compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate safety training sessions for employees, trainees, and students in both classroom and practical settings.
- Educate participants on industrial safety, emergency response, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) best practices.
- Assess learners' competencies through examinations and practical evaluations.
- Issue and support certification of trainees upon successful completion of training requirements.
- Create, revise, and update training materials, presentations, and course assessments.
- Deliver programs aligned with Saudi, Oil & Gas, and international safety standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records including attendance, assessment outcomes, and certifications.
- Monitor trainee progress and provide feedback or corrective guidance as needed.
- Support ongoing safety awareness initiatives and continuous improvement processes.
- Conduct training sessions in both Arabic and English effectively.
Candidate Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health & Environment (SHE/HSE), or
- Associate Degree or two-year Diploma in Industrial Safety or Safety Training.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of Oil & Gas industry experience with a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 11 years of Oil & Gas experience without a bachelor's degree.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in safety training or instruction roles.
- Proven background in teaching, assessing, and certifying safety competencies.
- Roles such as Safety Trainer, HSE Trainer, or Industrial Safety Instructor are highly valued.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in both spoken and written Arabic and English.
- IELTS minimum score of 6.0 or equivalent TOEFL scores (Internet-Based 60, Paper-Based 498, Computer-Based 171).
Preferred Knowledge:
- Experience within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Familiarity with the Petrochemical industry.
- Strong expertise in safety and emergency procedures.
