Safety Officer

Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified and proactive Saudi EHS Officer to join our Quality & Safety team, stationed in Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and supervising health, safety, and environmental policies across project locations, ensuring adherence to both company and legal safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential workplace safety hazards.
• Establish and oversee safety procedures for project operations.
• Deliver safety training sessions and promote safety awareness among personnel.
• Ensure all project activities comply with relevant safety laws and standards.
• Assist project teams in sustaining a secure work environment.
• Compile safety documentation and participate in project meetings regarding safety concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of experience within EHS or an associated area.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards; Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
• Holding SEC approval is beneficial.
• Must be a Saudi national.
• Comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience with risk assessments, conducting audits, and preventing incidents.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage concurrent site activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and EHS reporting software.
