Safety Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Safety Officer to join our team at a leading multinational company located in Pune, Chakan. The role focuses on ensuring industrial safety within an automotive furnace manufacturing environment. Candidates should have 3 to 6 years of relevant experience and appropriate qualifications in industrial safety or related fields.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Possession of safety certification relevant to the position is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety protocols for contract manpower and conduct industrial safety audits.
• Apply thorough understanding of industrial safety standards within manufacturing settings.
• Maintain and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Oversee fire safety measures, machine safety, electrical safety, and emergency response procedures.
• Perform safety audits, site inspections, and lead incident investigations.
• Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) methodologies.
• Document and report safety findings clearly and accurately.
• Deliver safety training and presentations effectively.
• Apply basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
