About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Rust Engineer to develop robust, high-performance systems for a prominent global hedge fund's Operations Technology. This role focuses on building and refining trade management solutions that drive the entire trading workflow from front to back office. It is a hands-on position centered on performance optimization, scalability, and implementing modern distributed architectures.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement multi-threaded, high-throughput trading systems utilizing Rust.
- Create and maintain distributed microservices supporting critical trading platforms.
- Enhance system latency, optimize memory consumption, and fine-tune AWS infrastructure to boost efficiency and minimize operational expenses.
- Leverage technologies such as Rust and C#/.NET within a contemporary cloud-native environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years in software engineering roles.
- Proficient in Rust and either Java or C#/.NET, particularly with emphasis on concurrent programming practices.
- Hands-on experience developing distributed systems employing REST/gRPC protocols, microservices architecture, and messaging solutions like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services, continuous integration/deployment pipelines, Git version control, Jenkins, and modern DevOps workflows.
- Prior involvement with financial markets or trading system development is mandatory.
