Role Description

As an RTR Accountant at FMC, you will oversee vital accounting responsibilities, including maintaining general ledgers, processing journal entries, and performing accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end closings. Your role also involves ensuring full adherence to financial standards and regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with business units to support their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage journal entries, accruals, and adjustments aligned with financial guidelines.
• Perform reconciliations and upkeep of general ledgers for various business units.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end closing processes with precision and punctuality.
• Compile and forward financial results to Corporate Accounting.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local accounting standards, SOX, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with select treasury functions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot accounting concerns and promote best practices.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements for increased efficiency and standardization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certifications such as CPA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA are preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in Record to Report (R2R) processes or shared service accounting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms, particularly SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities alongside excellent interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work effectively in team environments.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word.
