Role Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in rotating equipment to join our Pune office. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in detailed engineering consultancy, especially focusing on mechanical and technical services in pharmaceutical, fine chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer, or agrochemical plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define engineering and design requirements for rotating equipment and packages.
  • Prepare design basis, technical specifications, and requisitions for pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotary machinery including agitators, blowers, and ATFDs.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals with a focus on pump curves and technical details.
  • Perform engineering design calculations and prepare bills of materials and technical reports.
  • Apply knowledge of equipment layout, plot plans, P&IDs, and material selection based on process conditions.
  • Conduct proposal development and man-hour estimation, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure clarity and alignment with project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Solid experience in FEED, proposals, and detailed engineering activities related to rotating equipment and process plant packages.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as API, IS, ASTM, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, ASHRAE.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design and engineering of pumps, compressors, turbines, agitators, and related rotary equipment.

Qualifications

B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
