Room Attendant

Position Overview

The Room Attendant at Shamin Hotels is primarily tasked with the thorough cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms as well as public areas such as hallways, lobbies, and workspaces. This involves routine maintenance including bed making, replenishing supplies, sanitizing equipment, and performing general cleaning duties.

Core Duties

• Make and arrange beds efficiently.
• Restock amenities including drinking glasses and stationery supplies.
• Clean various areas including guest rooms, corridors, lounges, restrooms, elevators, staircases, and locker rooms.
• Use vacuum cleaners to clean carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and curtains.
• Dust furniture and equipment to maintain cleanliness.
• Polish metal fixtures and fittings to preserve appearance.
• Wash walls, ceilings, wooden surfaces, windows, doors, and sills thoroughly.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, disposing of trash properly.
• Replenish bathroom supplies regularly.
• Replace light bulbs as needed.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations when handling cleaning chemicals according to material safety data sheets.
• Arrive punctually for scheduled shifts dressed in proper uniform as per company guidelines.
• Follow all applicable company policies and procedures relevant to this role.
• Welcome guests warmly and courteously, demonstrating initiative in hospitality.
