Role Overview
As a Room Attendant, your primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms and suites, ensuring they are fresh and welcoming for guests returning after a busy day or needing a quiet space to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure guest rooms consistently meet quality standards, creating memorable and pleasant experiences.
- Assist guests with requests such as providing toiletries or directions.
- Update supervisors on room cleaning progress and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear protective gear when required.
- Manage housekeeping supplies and amenities efficiently while minimizing waste.
- Handle lost and found items by logging and returning belongings to their owners.
- Maintain a neat appearance by wearing the uniform properly and with pride.
- Perform additional tasks as required during unforeseen situations requiring teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to maintain high service standards.
- Occasionally assist with deep cleaning and turndown services.
Qualifications & Skills
- Good physical stamina as the role requires standing most of the day.
- Able to lift or move objects weighing up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds).
- Willingness to bend, kneel, and carry out physically demanding activities.
- Basic literacy including reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities.
- Flexible availability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
