IntelliHub Robotics, headquartered in Singapore, specializes in robotics and automation solutions designed to enhance industrial and commercial operations throughout Singapore and Southeast Asia. Their expertise spans across Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), material handling, cleaning robots, service robotics, and related automation systems. The company supports customers throughout the entire process from solution design and system integration to deployment and after-sales service.
Role Overview
The position is for a Robotics Application Engineer who will play a crucial role in deploying, integrating, and ensuring the effective operation of robotics solutions directly at customer sites within Singapore. This hands-on role involves close collaboration with clients, technology partners, and regional teams to transform robotic technology into dependable and practical applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission AMR, AGV, and robotic systems on customer premises.
- Perform site assessments, conduct testing phases, proofs of concept, and operational trials to validate system functionality.
- Set up robot navigation systems, including mapping, mission planning, and workflow configuration.
- Facilitate integration with customer machinery and existing system infrastructures.
- Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Deliver technical instruction and provide on-site customer support.
- Liaise with international original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and engineering teams to address technical challenges.
- Document technical details, prepare deployment reports, and update project statuses.
- Engage in projects across Singapore and occasionally Southeast Asia as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical/Electronical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Preferably 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience; exceptional recent graduates may be eligible.
- Practical exposure to robotics, AMR/AGV systems, automation, or industrial machinery is beneficial.
- Fundamental knowledge of sensors, networking protocols, electrical systems, and robotic configuration is required.
- Experience with PLCs, ROS/ROS2, Python programming, Linux operating systems, or API integration is advantageous, though not compulsory.
- Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and analytical problem solving.
- Comfortable engaging in customer site environments.
- Good communication skills coupled with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- Willingness to travel regionally within Southeast Asia when necessary.
