Role Overview
Become part of a renowned South Australian organisation offering professional roadside assistance to Metropolitan Adelaide's members and commercial clients facing unexpected vehicle breakdowns. This role involves using your automotive expertise to diagnose and repair vehicles on-site, ensuring outstanding customer service and contributing to the community's well-being during times of need.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-the-spot vehicle diagnostics and repairs utilizing automotive knowledge and skillset.
- Deliver fitting solutions to members while consistently providing superior customer service.
- Maintain professionalism, focus, and courtesy in every customer engagement.
- Advocate for RAA's services and products when suitable.
- Contribute essential support to the community in urgent road service situations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a confident, self-driven professional who thrives in a performance-oriented environment. A passion for assisting community members and a dedication to excellent service is crucial.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of at least a Certificate III in Automotive (Mechanical or Electrical) - mandatory.
- Background in the automotive sector coupled with a history of delivering excellent customer experiences.
- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle functionality, components, and contemporary diagnostic methods across various makes and models.
- Availability and willingness to work in rotating shifts.
- Holds a current ‘Class C’ driver's licence.
- Good physical fitness suitable for varied working environments, strong time management, and pride in workmanship and presentation.
- Excellent attention to detail along with strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Innovative mindset with effective multitasking and the capability to handle multiple priorities.
Training and Start Date
The selected candidates will undergo a thorough five-week full-time training program beginning Monday, 2nd November 2026.
