Job Role Overview
The Rigging Supervisor and Truck Pusher role is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar. The incumbent will supervise and manage rigging and lifting operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and local laws. Responsibilities include planning rigging activities, leading lifting crews, overseeing lifting equipment inspections and maintenance, and handling truck transportation management on site.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee rigging and lifting assignments to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Supervise lifting teams and coordinate the use and inspection of lifting equipment and tools.
- Manage the transportation operations of trucks on site to support project logistics.
- Monitor work performed at heights, implementing fall protection measures and conducting safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Maintain detailed records including operation logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
- Collaborate with field engineers, logistics units, and HSE personnel to enhance workflow and mitigate risks during operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities in managing multidisciplinary field crews.
- Strong knowledge of rigging and lifting procedures, load handling, and planning for lifts.
- Experience selecting, inspecting, and maintaining lifting equipment to guarantee operational integrity.
- Practical experience working at heights with awareness of fall protection systems and safety regulations.
- Technical certifications related to rigging, lifting operations, or crane and hoist use; additional health, safety, and environmental (HSE) certifications are advantageous.
- Demonstrable dedication to safety practices, risk evaluation, and preventing incidents in oil, gas, or heavy industrial environments.
- Effective English communication skills, thoroughness in documentation, and ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams.
- Previous tenure in a comparable supervisory role within energy, construction, or industrial sectors, particularly in onshore or offshore contexts.
