Job description

Role Overview

This position combines two key responsibilities that occur simultaneously every day: analysis and execution. Unlike typical roles that only report data, you will proactively act on insights to optimize revenue performance.

Primary Functions

1. Revenue Analysis & Online Channel Management: You will handle all aspects related to your designated hotels on various online platforms including rate setting, inventory control, listing optimization, promotions, competitor analysis, and maintaining relationships with OTA account managers. You will identify underperformance, determine root causes, and implement solutions proactively.

2. Direct Revenue Execution: Serving as the first contact for guests or travel agents via phone, WhatsApp, or email, you will understand their requirements, present suitable room options, use buyer behavior insights to overcome objections, and successfully close bookings. Every unconverted inquiry impacts revenue, and you will be accountable for maximizing conversion.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, real-time rates and inventory across all OTA platforms for assigned hotels.
  • Track booking pace for 30, 60, and 90-day windows, taking proactive measures if performance dips below expectations.
  • Monitor at least five competitors per hotel three times weekly and immediately report significant changes.
  • Design and manage OTA promotions such as Early Bird, Last Minute, Long Stay, and Non-Refundable offers with clear expected outcomes.
  • Audit OTA listing content, including photos, descriptions, and policies biweekly, updating proactively.
  • Ensure rate parity across all platforms and resolve discrepancies within two hours.
  • Maintain weekly communication with OTA account managers to negotiate improved placements, enroll in programs, and secure priority support.
  • Respond to all direct inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, and email within 15 minutes during business hours.
  • Verify live availability and current rates through the channel manager before providing quotes; avoid quoting from memory.
  • Explain room options clearly, upsell appropriate add-ons, and address rate objections based on buyer psychology rather than pressure tactics.
  • Follow up on every unconverted inquiry within 24 hours and document reasons for non-conversion.
  • Collect guest information, process advance payments, issue booking confirmations, and manage special requests.
  • Accurately calculate rates accounting for markups, discounts, commissions, and promotions.
  • Monitor reviews daily across platforms, responding to positive feedback within 48 hours and negative feedback within 24 hours.
  • Conduct post-checkout review outreach for all guests and track response ratios.
  • Identify and escalate recurring negative review themes as operational concerns needing attention at the hotel level.
  • Prepare and submit daily inquiry logs, weekly OTA pickup reports comparing current bookings to prior year benchmarks, and monthly performance summaries covering OTA and direct revenue, average daily rate, booking pickup versus targets, and review score trends. Timeliness is mandatory to avoid performance penalties.

Candidate Profile

We seek candidates who do not necessarily possess hotel industry background but demonstrate strong analytical and execution skills coupled with a results-driven mindset. The essential traits include presence of mind, logical thinking, pattern recognition, sharp observation, proficiency in sales negotiation and mathematics, and understanding buyer psychology.

Other desired attributes include being proactive, process-oriented, passionate about numbers, excellent communication skills in both Hindi and English, awareness of current business and travel trends, and a genuine willingness to learn continuously.

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Educational background: BBA, MBA, BCom, MCom, BCA, MCA, BTech, BE, BA, or equivalent graduation.
  • Experience range: Freshers with 0 to 1 year; prior hotel experience not required.
  • Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan; this is an in-office role.
  • Work schedule: Six days a week.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent spoken Hindi and strong spoken and written English.
  • Computer skills: Comfortable with internet usage, email, WhatsApp, and basic Excel; willingness to learn new platforms quickly.

Additional Terms

During the training and probation period, 20% of the monthly salary will be held as a refundable training cost deposit. This amount is fully reimbursed upon completion of the engagement and is not a deduction but your own money temporarily held.

Growth & Learning Opportunities

Within the first year, you will gain comprehensive expertise in online hotel revenue management overseeing over 30 properties simultaneously. Learning areas include e-commerce account handling across major OTAs in India, revenue analysis, demand-based pricing, direct sales and negotiation via multiple channels, buyer psychology application, OTA algorithm and listing management, online reputation management, and data-driven decision-making.

This role is tailored for individuals with a sharp analytical mindset who take initiative and constantly question and improve revenue outcomes.
