Retail Store Supervisor

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Retail Store Supervisor to manage daily store operations in Gajwel. This role demands overseeing inventory, staff coordination, customer service, and cash handling to ensure smooth retail functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage stock and inventory by ensuring shelves remain stocked, products are orderly with visible pricing, and expired or damaged items are removed promptly.
• Collaborate with management and suppliers to reorder high-demand items timely and monitor loss prevention efforts including theft and product wastage.
• Supervise staff by assigning daily tasks, monitoring attendance and breaks, managing shift transitions, and training new employees in customer service and operational procedures.
• Address customer concerns efficiently, clarify billing issues, manage returns or exchanges, and maintain quick billing during peak hours to minimize queues.
• Maintain a clean and inviting shopping environment, ensuring proper lighting and hygiene standards are upheld throughout the store.
• Oversee daily cash procedures including opening and closing protocols, reconcile cash registers with sales reports at shift end, and ensure safety equipment is functional.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Completion of high school or any undergraduate degree.
• Experience ranging from 1 to 3 years in retail environments such as grocery or supermarkets, with preference for those experienced in cash handling and supervising floor staff.
• Proficiency with advanced billing and point-of-sale (POS) software systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, especially under high customer traffic conditions.
• Physical capability to remain on feet and move around the store extensively during shifts.
