Retail Store Manager

About the Role

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring administrative and operational tasks are efficiently managed while delivering excellent customer service. Leading the store team, the manager drives sales growth, manages inventory effectively, and ensures that staff are well-trained and knowledgeable about products and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an operational plan aligned with company sales goals to surpass targets.
• Set sales budgets and individual/team targets, monitoring performance to achieve these objectives.
• Apply and maintain the Apple product display planogram correctly.
• Supervise daily store activities to maintain excellent customer service, optimizing sales and profitability.
• Maintain store and staff appearance as per Apple guidelines and act on audit and mystery shopper feedback to enhance standards.
• Oversee inventory storage, tracking, and control; manage store merchandising and replenishment; report inventory concerns to the Retail Manager.
• Optimize staff scheduling considering leaves and vacations to ensure floor coverage.
• Build and sustain effective relationships with customers and internal departments for smooth operations.
• Enforce cash management policies and ensure accurate reconciliation of cash registers.
• Resolve operational issues including customer complaints in collaboration with back office to maintain uninterrupted operations and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular market research and share best practices and insights with the Retail Manager and other store managers.
• Prepare and submit regular performance and operational reports to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment and staff training initiatives.
• Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures across all store functions.

Talent Development

• Lead, mentor, and empower the team to take ownership of their roles.
• Identify and develop team capabilities to establish a robust succession plan.
• Conduct frequent performance evaluations, recognize training requirements, and oversee development plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in retail management.
