Retail Store Manager

Position Overview

As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily retail operations, leading and developing a high-performing team, managing inventory, and ensuring outstanding customer service. This role involves handling various merchandise categories such as jewelry, electronics, and tools, and driving sales and profitability to meet store goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead all aspects of daily store functions
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster a customer-centric environment
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and cultivate team talent
• Drive sales, loan activities, and profitability targets
• Analyze store performance data and execute improvement plans
• Supervise inventory management, merchandising, and maintain store appearance standards
• Ensure asset protection, proper cash handling, and compliance with operational policies
• Monitor accuracy and integrity of loan and buying transactions
• Develop strong customer relations and support efforts to gain new customers
• Communicate performance goals and expectations clearly to team members
• Maintain product knowledge across diverse merchandise types
• Perform additional assigned duties as necessary

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in management and customer service roles
• Preferred background in retail, sales, or multi-unit retail environments
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development capabilities
• Experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining employees
• Strong analytical skills to interpret business results and implement improvements
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and holidays
• Comfortable handling a range of merchandise, including firearms in licensed FFL locations with provided certification
• Proficient communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer literacy and competence with point-of-sale systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with multitasking skills
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve items from outside areas

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $26.98
• Monthly bonus potential tied to store performance
• Convenient hours generally from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; many locations closed Sundays
