Retail Store Manager

Position Summary

Family Dollar is looking for a dedicated Store Manager to lead our Norfolk store. This role involves supervising daily operations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and boosting store profits through effective team leadership and operational management.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all facets of store operations with the goal of maximizing sales and profitability.
• Assign and oversee daily tasks among store associates to ensure smooth functioning.
• Guide, mentor, and grow the store team to cultivate a positive and productive work environment.
• Provide exceptional shopping experiences to every customer visiting the store.
• Protect the company's assets and ensure security protocols are followed.
• Engage actively with the local community through outreach and partnerships to strengthen relationships.
• Maintain compliance with relevant laws and company policies, ensuring adherence at all times.
• Execute operational strategies and merchandising plans provided by corporate headquarters.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong focus on achieving results and building effective team relationships is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
• Previous experience in retail management is advantageous.
• Physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 55 lbs, including from floor level to above shoulder height.
• Ability to perform continuous physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
