About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Retail Store Manager to join our expanding team at one of Best Buy's locations in Calgary, Alberta. You will play a key role in shaping exceptional experiences for customers and employees alike while driving business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all store operations, overseeing assistant store leaders, team leads, and advisors, while collaborating with internal departments and external vendors.
- Inspire, mentor, and develop your team to assist customers in selecting the ideal products or services.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and enjoyable work environment that encourages learning.
- Manage store performance indicators such as revenue, merchandising quality, inventory status, and safety standards.
- Ensure profitability by maintaining healthy profit and loss management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of five years' leadership experience directing a retail or hospitality team comprising at least 50 members in a busy, high-volume setting.
- At least five years managing and analyzing operational expenses and revenue streams.
- Proven success surpassing sales targets within a high-traffic retail establishment.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate a workplace that is inclusive, safe, and enjoyable.
- Initial assignments at Deerfoot Meadows or Sunridge with the expectation to work permanently at any Calgary store locations such as 17th Avenue, Deerfoot Meadows, Northland, Shawnessy, Sunridge, or Westhills; reliable commuting to these sites is required.
