Role Overview

The Retail Stocker plays a vital part in sustaining efficient daily retail operations, both in front and back of house, ensuring seamless stockroom and store functionality. This position contributes directly to delivering exceptional visitor experiences through maintaining cleanliness, accurate inventory management, and adherence to company service and branding standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inventory counts with high accuracy to keep stock levels precise.
• Update records promptly including daily counts, internal stock movements, and weekly spoilage reports.
• Inspect confectionery and miscellaneous items monthly to identify and remove near-expiry products early.
• Receive and verify weekly stock replenishments from the warehouse to guarantee consistent retail operations.
• Work closely with retail operations team members for urgent orders, special requests, and internal inventory transfers.
• Support cashiers by facilitating quick price verification and product barcode lookup to enhance customer checkout efficiency.
• Operate equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, trolleys, and buggies safely and responsibly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, promoting safety for staff and patrons.
• Utilize physical capability to carry, lift, and manage stock items effectively.
• Follow safety guidelines rigorously to support a secure workplace.
• Communicate effectively about store operations, inventory concerns, and merchandising needs.
• Participate actively in team meetings, trainings, and collaboration events to help meet team goals.
• Contribute to team tasks as needed and assist in mentoring new employees.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance in line with company dress codes.
• Stay knowledgeable about the company's products, ongoing promotions, and core values.
• Wear retail products as part of uniform when required to promote the brand.
• Comply fully with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Higher secondary education or equivalent.
• Basic verbal communication capabilities.
• Fundamental cash handling skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Desirable:

• Prior experience in retail or warehousing environments.
• Background in merchandising and stock management.
• Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• Previous experience handling cash transactions.
