Retail Security Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking a vigilant, enthusiastic Retail Security Officer to become a crucial part of our on-site team in Bath. Primary Duties

• Serve as a visible, professional presence on the shop floor to deter theft and prevent losses.
• Utilize ASCONE criteria proficiently to detect and manage shoplifting incidents aligned with company retail policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service by warmly welcoming visitors and assisting the public, representing the store with professionalism.
• Collaborate closely with store management and staff to promote a secure workplace for employees and shoppers.
• Skillfully manage conflicts by defusing tense situations and responding promptly to emergencies.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols, complete detailed incident reports, and uphold thorough operational documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding).
• Legal entitlement to work in the UK with a verifiable continuous 5-year work or education history.
• Strong customer service skills combined with a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Capability to maintain composure in high-pressure scenarios and manage conflict effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside great attention to detail in following procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in retail security, shop floor guarding, or preventing retail loss.
• Hands-on knowledge of ASCONE methods and stock protection strategies.
