Role Overview

The Retail Consultant will be a vital part in delivering outstanding customer experiences by tailoring recommendations to individual customer needs. You will contribute to meeting sales goals and store KPIs such as conversion rates, customer satisfaction scores, and average sales value.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements and suggest matching products
• Maintain thorough product knowledge to explain features and benefits accurately
• Promote additional products through upselling and cross-selling while informing customers about current promotions
• Deliver consistently excellent customer service exemplifying company values
• Uphold store visual standards in alignment with merchandising guidelines
• Address customer concerns promptly by resolving or escalating as appropriate

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of two years in retail, preferably with home or lifestyle products
• Strong ability to engage customers and bring their home styling visions to fruition
• Confident with a proactive, target-driven mindset
• Excellent communication skills alongside proficiency with computers
• Capability to manage both customer interactions and administrative tasks effectively
• Passion for home décor, furniture, or creating welcoming environments is advantageous
• Commitment to living the company’s core values: adding value, distinctiveness, personalized service, expertise, and authenticity
• Physical fitness for routine manual handling including lifting and moving variously sized furniture
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand as a citizen, resident, or valid visa holder
• Availability to work shifts including Fridays, Saturdays, and as needed
