About the Role
At Rosewood Red Sea, we are seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead an upscale Japanese-inspired contemporary Asian restaurant. This role calls for a polished and energetic leader who can balance a high-energy social environment with meticulous service precision, creating a luxurious yet relaxed poolside dining atmosphere centered on sharing and refined hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the restaurant's daily operations ensuring alignment with Rosewood, Forbes, and LQA standards.
- Maintain a commanding presence on the floor during all service times, focusing on pacing, atmosphere, seating flow, and guest interactions.
- Guarantee that service delivery embodies the restaurant's concept of contemporary Asian sharing style combined with elegant casual luxury and spirited poolside energy.
- Collaborate closely with Culinary and Beverage teams to ensure timely food delivery, attractive presentation, suitable beverage pairings, and consistent thematic experience.
- Manage reservations, table assignments, guest preferences, VIP arrangements, and special requests attentively.
- Conduct thorough pre-service briefings and operational checks daily to prepare the team and venue adequately.
- Respond promptly and tactfully to guest feedback, handling service recovery with confidence and discretion.
- Promote upselling, enhance average check values, and maintain revenue awareness without diminishing guest comfort.
- Coach team members on menu details, beverage expertise, service flow, guest recognition, and expectations for luxury poolside hospitality.
- Ensure continuous maintenance of outlet cleanliness, mise en place, marketing materials, furniture, equipment, and overall presentation standards.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Possess 3 to 5 years of food and beverage experience, including management roles in luxury hotels, resorts, or premium standalone restaurants.
- Preferably experienced in contemporary Asian, specifically Japanese or sushi-style dining environments.
- Deep understanding of sharing-service style, table rhythm, premium casual luxury, and vibrant lifestyle dining atmospheres.
- Familiarity with Asian beverages, cocktails, and food pairing considered a strong advantage.
- Able to run a lively operation while maintaining disciplined, accurate, and refined service standards.
- Exemplary leadership skills on the floor, with a focus on engaging guests and developing team capabilities.
- Strong commercial acumen, including revenue generation, average check management, labor control, and cost efficiency.
- Experience in pre-opening settings or destination resort environments is highly advantageous.
