Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our Exeter, Ontario location. The ideal candidate should have completed college, CEGEP, or hold a non-university certificate or diploma from a one to two-year program, with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. This role supports operations in a bustling urban environment and focuses on enhancing profitability and maintaining smooth restaurant functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze budgetary data to enhance and sustain restaurant profitability.
• Assess daily business operations for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Track revenue streams to control and optimize labor costs.
• Oversee employee performance and conduct evaluations.
• Coordinate and schedule daily operational activities.
• Manage the recruitment and hiring process for staff members.
• Create staff work schedules and supervise team members.
• Conduct staff training to fulfill operational standards.
• Perform cash balancing and prepare financial reporting documents, including balance sheets and cash reports.
• Organize inventory management to ensure stock levels are adequate.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Negotiate supply agreements with food and non-food vendors.
• Handle customer complaints and address concerns promptly.

Certifications and Technical Skills

• Valid Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification.
• Occupational Health and Safety certification.
• Certification in Safe Food Handling.
• Proficiency with electronic cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Competent in MS Excel for reporting and analysis.

Employment Details
