Restaurant General Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Restaurant General Manager to oversee comprehensive restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest experiences and maximizing profitability. The role demands full accountability of restaurant financials, operational standards, and team leadership in an onsite environment.

Key Duties and Performance Indicators

• Manage the restaurant's profit and loss statements, sales goals, food and labor expenses, inventory, and operating budgets.
• Provide outstanding customer service by monitoring guest feedback, addressing complaints directly, and converting dissatisfied guests into loyal customers.
• Conduct hands-on, daily employee training ensuring compliance with food quality, hygiene, service standards, and kitchen standard operating procedures.
• Supervise procurement processes, vendor coordination, stock management, and maintain inventory controls.
• Lead and evaluate the restaurant team’s performance, maintain high staff satisfaction, handle retention, and facilitate prompt recruitment by building an internal hiring network with less reliance on HR.
• Promptly manage repairs, maintenance, and any operational challenges to ensure smooth daily functioning.
• Maintain a presence on the restaurant floor for at least 75% of work hours including peak weekend periods and closing shifts to ensure direct oversight.

Experience and Eligibility

The ideal candidate must bring prior experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in senior restaurant operations roles within casual dining, bars, or quick-service restaurant (QSR) sectors.
