Role Overview
The Resource Planner role is centered on delivering efficient, safe, and effective resource coordination for the Nursing team. This full-time position requires 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday. It is based in Runcorn, England, with options for hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complexities of nursing service supply and demand, ensuring nurses with appropriate skills are scheduled correctly and properly supported.
- Leverage resource planning tools, primarily Total Mobile, alongside Standard Operating Procedures to improve operational efficiency and foster continuous technological enhancements for live workforce planning.
- Maintain accurate and current data within the resource planning system consistently.
- Generate and deliver timely analytical management reports using the resource planning platform.
- Analyze available data to identify trends and risks, supporting more informed future scheduling decisions.
- Comply with relevant legal requirements such as the Working Time Directive when creating rotas and managing staff working patterns to promote safety and risk mitigation.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience using IT systems for workforce planning and scheduling purposes.
- Track record of handling multiple, conflicting priorities efficiently and meeting deadline-driven objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills, establishing trust and credibility through effective networking and relationship-building.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement through innovative and creative problem-solving approaches.
