Role Purpose
The Resource Manager within the EMEA resourcing team primarily supports Experience & Engineering for the DACH region (Germany and Switzerland) and other areas across EMEA. This role ensures efficient workforce allocation by matching the right talent to the appropriate projects, balancing skill sets, availability, and project requirements to meet deadlines and budget goals. Responsibilities also include managing billable staff numbers, adapting to dynamic staffing demands, and collaborating with the Commercial team for pipeline planning.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Resource Manager in managing and updating resourcing requests for Experience & Engineering teams.
- Monitor team capacity and utilization data, alerting senior management to over- or under-utilization.
- Maintain and adjust staffing plans within resource management systems as directed.
- Keep resourcing forecasts up to date and organized for review, supporting bench reporting by compiling data on available personnel.
- Facilitate cross-regional coordination by aiding the Head of Resource Management in managing resource requests, including freelance and partner onboarding and tracking across EMEA.
- Serve as an initial contact for basic resourcing inquiries from Project Managers and Craft Leads, escalating as necessary.
- Maintain accurate data in resource management tools like Resource Guru, track time allocations, and produce utilization and capacity reports for leadership.
- Identify scheduling conflicts and resource risks, assist in their resolution and follow-up.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in resource management, project coordination, or relevant administrative/support roles, preferably in digital agencies or product environments.
- Experience or exposure to multi-market or cross-cultural work environments, especially within the EMEA region, is advantageous.
- Fundamental understanding of digital roles such as backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, UX/UI, business analysis, and project management.
- Basic knowledge of digital product deliveries including websites, e-commerce, and mobile applications, and how cross-functional teams collaborate.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail with comfort handling data and spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI is a bonus.
- Experience using resource management software like Resource Guru is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with various organizational levels.
- Organized, process-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, with the ability to spot and flag potential issues early.
- Collaborative, accountable, resourceful, adaptable, and eager to develop professional skills continuously.
- Fluent business-level English is required.
