Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff planning and resource allocation for the Consulting department, offering practical solutions for job assignments.
  • Maintain and communicate real-time staffing reports to the Resource Lead, Managers, and other relevant parties.
  • Manage Exam Training tasks for Consulting personnel, coordinating with the National Training Team.
  • Provide initial coordination support in partnership with Resource Administrators, making prompt decisions and engaging in challenging manager discussions when necessary.
  • Regularly liaise with staffing leaders to identify resourcing challenges, recommend resolution strategies, and implement agreed actions.
  • Anticipate and address staffing gaps proactively, especially when employees depart.
  • Keep department heads informed about key staffing developments.
  • Lead and ensure completion of annual roll-forward exercises within national deadlines.
  • Monitor and assess staff bookings, budgets, and allocation accuracy.
  • Ensure all annual leave and time off in lieu (TOIL) are correctly logged according to policies.
  • Maintain ongoing trainee engagement and provide support throughout their training journey, especially ahead of exams.
  • Deliver training and guidance to new Resource Administrators to build their effectiveness.

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional organizational and planning aptitude capable of juggling complex personnel needs across several teams.
  • Proven experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, managing difficult conversations, and devising innovative staffing solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and autonomy, especially under urgent resource constraints or unexpected staffing changes.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure bookings comply with budgets and policies.
  • Compassionate and nurturing attitude during exam training, fostering trainee confidence and support.
  • Comfortable handling staffing data and reports to maintain a live overview of resource utilization.
  • Willing to travel occasionally for in-person training and team support.
  • Pertinent experience in consulting within professional services is a plus.
