Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time remote Research Assistant / Research Analyst to join Adler's Den. The position entails conducting both qualitative and quantitative studies focusing on the artisan chocolate and gourmet food sectors. You will be responsible for compiling, organizing, and analyzing data from diverse sources to identify consumer trends and product preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and consolidate data from various sources related to artisan chocolate and gourmet foods.
  • Execute basic data analyses and prepare succinct, informative reports for internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with product development and marketing departments to convert research findings into practical strategies.
  • Assist in designing and refining research methodologies to improve data accuracy.
  • Maintain systematic records of all research documentation and activities.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Strong analytical capabilities and aptitude in data interpretation pertaining to markets, products, and consumer insights.
  • Experienced in research processes including information collection, literature review, and maintaining structured documentation.
  • Effective communicator able to present complex findings clearly in both written and oral forms.
  • Basic laboratory skills or familiarity with food testing procedures beneficial for product-related research tasks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet tools, data visualization software, or fundamental statistical applications preferred.
  • Keen interest in artisan chocolate, gourmet foods, or the wider food industry is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Market Research, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience is desirable.
