Role Overview

We are seeking a Research Analyst or Senior Research Analyst to join our Templeton Global Investments team, based in Singapore or Hong Kong. The position centers on conducting comprehensive fundamental research and analysis of Taiwan's publicly listed technology companies. Responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, compiling data from multiple sources, and developing detailed financial models.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently research and analyze publicly listed technology companies in Taiwan
• Interpret financial statements, including cash flow, balance sheet, and income statements, alongside other relevant investment data
• Construct and maintain sophisticated financial models and produce detailed research reports and investment insights for assigned companies
• Communicate investment recommendations both in written reports and oral presentations to the investment team, keeping them regularly updated on any changes
• Monitor and analyze economic, macroeconomic, and political conditions related to assigned coverage areas
• Maintain an understanding of global investment climates, market dynamics, and economic environments

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA certification or equivalent postgraduate qualifications preferred
• Between 5 to 10 years of robust research or investment experience within the technology sector, with an emphasis on the Taiwan market
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in strategic offices, finance departments, or technical sales roles at Taiwanese semiconductor or IT hardware firms
• Role seniority will correspond with the extent of relevant experience

Technical Abilities

• Skillful in utilizing AI-powered applications and tools to enhance the efficiency and quality of professional outputs
• Strong aptitude in fundamental research, quantitative analysis, and financial statement assessment
• Experienced in designing and evaluating various financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF) valuations
• Adept at identifying industry themes, innovations, and trends and translating them into practical investment opportunities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Bloomberg terminal

• Self-driven and able to work autonomously
• Detail-oriented with meticulous attention to accuracy
