Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent Research Analyst with a minimum of two years' experience in financial services, research houses, or broking firms. Candidates holding an MBA, CFA Level 2, CFA, or any graduate degree combined with additional market research credentials are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on diverse financial instruments including mutual funds, portfolio management services, bonds/fixed deposits, real estate, and various insurance products within stipulated deadlines.
- Analyse macroeconomic trends, both domestic and international, to understand their impact on financial markets.
- Design, maintain, analyse, and present model portfolios effectively.
- Prepare detailed research reports covering multiple asset classes and products within agreed turnaround times.
- Formulate house views and market outlooks adhering to timeline commitments.
- Engage regularly with asset managers, fund managers, portfolio managers, and product relationship managers to receive market and product updates.
- Participate in weekly discussions on macroeconomic perspectives relevant to the global and local economy and financial markets, as well as personal finance developments.
- Disseminate investment research and updates to clients and internal teams through presentations.
- Create compelling content for client and team communications—such as newsletters, websites, social media posts, blogs, case studies, and articles—in collaboration with marketing consultants.
- Coordinate with content writers to optimize the delivery of research information to clients.
- Manage updates to websites, blogs, and social media channels to highlight research insights.
- Support the planning team with portfolio recommendations and resolve client queries related to planning and portfolio matters.
- Maintain research software systems and assess potential new software solutions.
- Organize and manage research calendars and project schedules.
- Source, develop, initiate partnerships for new financial products/services, and manage new initiatives concerning product offerings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in financial services, research, or broking environments.
- Educational qualifications such as MBA, CFA Level 2, CFA, or a graduate degree with additional market research certifications.
- Service-oriented approach with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive within structured processes and procedures.
- Proficient command of English communication both written and verbal.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical thinker with a keen critical mindset.
- Strong initiative-taking ability with flawless task execution.
- Sound financial acumen paired with practical common sense.
