Role Overview
This full-time, onsite position is located within the Greater Accra Region, where the Representative acts as a key liaison for patients, visitors, and partner organizations. Responsibilities include addressing inquiries both face-to-face and via telephone, assisting clients during registration or referral processes, and meticulously documenting all interactions and subsequent actions. The Representative aids in bridging clinical and administrative functions, helps coordinate meetings and outreach efforts, and provides timely updates to relevant parties. The role demands managing basic paperwork, ensuring an inviting and professional reception area, and escalating more complex concerns to supervisors, all while upholding confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively and respectfully with patients, families, staff, and community collaborators.
- Competence in customer service and front-desk operations, including managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and offering clear guidance in a composed and professional manner.
- Foundational skills in administration and documentation such as record keeping, entering data accurately, and handling confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to juggle multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and ensure follow-up.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary health care setting and adapt to evolving procedures and requirements.
- Familiarity with standard office applications (email, word processors, spreadsheets); prior exposure to healthcare or patient management software is beneficial.
- Demonstrated dependability, ethical behavior, and dedication to delivering quality patient and community services.
- Preferably holds relevant higher education or training in health administration, social sciences, public health, or related fields; experience in healthcare or community service environments is advantageous.
